Description
Ron Allen is the original skateboard artist and one of the first skaters that applied a creative mix up to his skateboarding, with music, mixed media arts and just a creative take on skateboarding, given he was on the forefront of street skating. Years ago, Ron created his own artwork for this Street Series deck, along with some prose;
With the advent of portable music players and over time, Ron’s noticed that kids more and more are rocking headphones while skating. What used to be a community skate session have become more of a collection of individual skate sessions at the same time. Skateboarding has always been heralded as a sport and lifestyle of individuality, not as a team sport. So is this a bad thing? We don’t know and neither does Ron, who is just making some artistic light of the situation with his Headphone Nation art.
Ron’s pioneered a number of different brands in skateboarding, all with one unique and creative take after another. Of course, his contribution to H-Street is nothing short of legendary, with a lengthy list of creativity that continues to define H-Street in significant ways.
Ron's Headphone Nation deck is built in San Diego at Watson Lam.
